Racing: A competition of speed against an objective criterion, usually a clock, where competitors race to complete a task in the shortest amount of time. The basis of the FRST program is centered on the specific techniques that make great racers.

Swim: One of the best sports for developing overall fitness and healthy competition that builds with discipline and hard work--skills that will last a lifetime. At FRST, the fundamentals of sportsmanship, teamwork, work ethic and character are learned.

Team: A group of individuals banding together for a common goal, to develop the skills to work together and support the overall goals of the team and individuals.  At FRST we aim to facilitate lasting bonds as teammates and friends.

Forming Fulshear Racing Swim Team has been a goal of Adam and Aimee Schmitt since arriving to Fulshear in 2015.

After a long career of college coaching and USA club coaching, both Adam and Aimee have looked for opportunities to teach and share their swimming experiences locally when they settled in Fulshear.  With the recent growth in the community the need for a quality swim program seemed like a natural pursuit for both of them.

Coach Adam and Aimee bring unprecedented experience to the local community in all areas of aquatics.   Both of them swam collegiately and competitively at the USA National Team level, and together have coached at all levels of the sport throughout the past two decades.  Coach Adam competed at Louisiana State University and among other awards, was part of an SEC Conference Championship and multiple SEC individual championships.  After college eligibility, Adam trained and competed at The Woodlands Swim Team as a post grad where he was a National Team member competing in the Goodwill Games, Pan Am games, LEN European Champs and other teams.

Coach Aimee swam at Stanford University and was part of their 1989 NCAA Championship team and was a multiple PAC-10 team and individual champion with Stanford.  She was also a member of the USA National team competing at World Championships and World University Games.

Coach Adam will bring his 17 years of college coaching experience to the High School and senior groups.  Most recently he has been assisting the University of Houston women's team, a NCAA Division I program and 2 time AAC Conference champions.  Prior coaching experience was Auburn University winning NCAA team championship, Arizona State University putting swimmers on National squads, the Head Coach of LSU bringing the program in the top 25 and then was the Head Coach of two USA Swimming Silver level club programs in California.

Coach Aimee will bring her years of swimming experience from her own personal journey as an elite athlete to her coaching at the club, middle school and High School levels. She has created, organized and taught swim lesson programs, collegiate swim camps as well as swim clinics.  While coaching all levels at FRST, her focus will be with the newer elementary, middle school and high school athletes.  Her keen sense of stroke technique and attention to details help swimmers be in tune with how their body moves through the water while developing good swim habits that can last a lifetime in the sport.

Swimming at Fulshear Racing Swim Team will take a different approach to swim training from other swim programs.  The goal is to pursue excellence in a fun and uplifting environment geared towards successful technical skills and training for the specific needs of each athlete.

Fulshear Proud!
